"These Red Ropes" and "Golden Girl"

Over the course of four months, I created around 6 pieces as part of my Artist in Residence position for a center that focuses on creating success amongst Black students. These are two my proudest pieces, both commentating on social expectations and systemic issues surrounding health and reputation for Black women. This marked a significant point in my career as an artist, as I got to experiment with my own absurd/realist style and how I could apply meaning through this style.
